Alcides Cavalcanti, diretor de operações da Volvo Caminhões, assinalou que ainda não tinha visão clara de como será este ano, mas que fatores positivos, como a agricultura, que aponta para um ano forte apesar do El Niño e das chuvas intensas que afetam o Rio grande do Sul, reforçam a previsão de que a produção seja um pouco melhor. A mineração com demanda estável, projetos florestais para celulose com rotas de transporte mais longas e pedidos gerados pela construção civil deverão contribuir para as vendas. Para Ricardo Alouche, vice-presidente de vendas, marketing e serviços da Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, o mercado de caminhões crescerá de 15% a 20% e sinal disto é que os frotistas já retomam as cotações a fim de não deixar as frotas envelhecerem mais. O avanço do PIB do agronegócio somado à expectativa de investimentos em infraestrutura, PAC, e à redução de taxas de juros deverão propiciar cenário mais favorável às vendas em 2024. Presidente da Mercedes-Benz do Brasil e CEO para a América Latina, Achim Puchert afirmou que a redução dos juros e a perspectiva de taxas melhores para este ano deverão trazer alguma melhora: “Embora o caminho para a recuperação seja lento, ritmo que deverá seguir em 2024, vemos pequeno crescimento, não um crescimento revolucionário. A demanda deverá reagir, mas ainda não retornaremos ao nível de 2022”. Para 2024 a aposta da Anfavea é que a produção de pesados, incluídos caminhões e ônibus, avance 30,1%, totalizando 160 mil unidades. Quanto às vendas é esperada reação de 14,1%, para 146 mil unidades. As exportações deverão empatar com este ano, somando 22 mil unidades. The increase in agribusiness put together with the expected growth in infrastructure, the PAC program, and the reduction in interest rates should usher in a more favorable scenario for sales in 2024. The president of Mercedes-Benz Brasil and CEO for Latin America, Mr. Achim Puchert states that interest rate reduction this year will bring about some improvement: “Even though the road to recovery will be slow, and this should hold for 2024, we foresee a small growth, rather than a revolutionary growth. Demand should come back, but we will not hit the level of 2022”. For 2024 Anfavea believes that production of heavy models, including trucks and buses, should increase by 30.1% to 160 thousand units. Concerning sales a growth of 14.1% is expected, for a volume of 146 thousand. Exports will repeat this year’s performance, for a total of 22 thousand units.
